We, six of us from Turkey (including a nine year old boy and myself, 67 years old), booked a 2 days Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Inka Time was very... read more good to organize our trip. Many thanks to our guide Grimaldo, a real gentleman, and his boss who did all way in two hours to give us extra care. First day early in the morning after a beautiful train journey we got down at 104 km and did a wonderful hike up to Andes Mountains to Vinaywayna (=forever young) ancient inca site...passed waterfalls, walked above clouds, enjoyed breath-taking Urubamba scenery down, flora & fauna of the forest, keeping always original stone steps of Incas. It rained all day till we reached at last to Sun Gate (Inti Punku), Inca Kings gate, the sun came back at Sun Gate! ....and Machu Picchu was down there....we were all wet to the bone, very tired, but very happy, went to Aguas Calientes. Next day Grimaldo took us to Machu Picchu once more... Inka time gave each of us a walking stick at the start of hike which was very useful... for such rainy days one extra plastic pancho would be useful....
